The Independent Scholars Association of Australia (ISAA) Inc formed in 1995, and, with its constitution, incorporated in Canberra in January 1997 is an association for the promotion of scholarship and the encouragement of independent scholars. ISAA is a network of scholars active in many areas including book and journal publications in the humanities, social science, science, and other disciplines; film and documentary scriptwriting and production, and journalism – work that in sum makes a contribution to national understanding and debate. Independent scholars make a vital contribution to the intellectual and cultural life of Australia. One outlet for the work of independent scholars over many years is the ISAA Review, which is not only available to members but has a wider distribution through online databases. A PDF of the Contents pages of the current and future reviews is available here.
